Do you accept credit cards?

No, we don’t accept credit cards. We do accept personal checks and bank checks.

Is my job too small for your company?

Our motto is, “no job is too small.” We do all kinds of home repairs and remodeling as well as build custom homes.

Is there a cost for a consultation with you?

No, we do not charge for consultations with us for any of your projects, whether for a new home or for home improvement projects.

How soon will my home improvement project be done?

At Albert R. Gamache & Son, we know how important it is to you to have your job done in a timely manner. We’re always accepting new projects so it is important to plan ahead to get an estimate and proposal written. We’ll do our best when giving you an estimate/proposal to give you an idea of when your job will get done.

Will my estimate/proposal for home improvement work include all services, such as electrician, plumbing, heating, flooring, etc?

We’ll prepare a proposal for you that includes all the services that will be needed to complete your project unless you request otherwise.

What types of remodeling services do you offer?

We offer a range of remodeling services, including bathroom remodeling, kitchen remodeling, and general household remodeling.

Do you handle larger home renovations?

Yes! We will undertake household remodeling projects of any size. We want your ideas to come to life, no matter how big or small.

How long does it take to build a custom home?

Every home has some different characteristics that can change the amount of time that it takes to complete the process. In general, it takes, at minimum, three months, but depending on the size of your home and the deliverables, such as windows and cabinets and seasonal challenges, it may take a couple more months.

What will the process look like if I want to build a custom home?

The first question we will ask you is if you already own land that you want to build on. This will help us determine how far along in the process you are.
We’ll meet with you in our office, or at the prospective site, to imagine, with you, what your future home will look like on the property and to survey the land to see if there will be any obstacles or challenges that we need to work around. We’ll use this time to discuss your ideas and hopes for your new home as well as a proposed timeline to begin building.
If you don’t already have architectural/building plans, we can refer you to experienced and reliable professionals to have them drawn up.
Once the plans have been drawn, we’ll gather bids from the subcontractors needed to complete your home and write up a detailed proposal for you. This process can take several weeks.
Once the proposal is completed we’ll meet again with you to go over your proposal package.
If there are any changes to be made we’ll make them, and once you are satisfied with the proposal, you will sign it and put a deposit on the project.
Once the permit application is submitted, approved, and acquired we can begin construction.
You will be updated frequently on construction progress and any problems that may arise. We’ll supervise and move along all aspects of the building of your new house from foundations, framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical work, drywall installation, and painting.
